JAW-DROPPING prices of up to 80% discount await at a new store opening in Gurney Plaza Penang.

To celebrate, Harvey Norman is offering top electrical, computer, mobile device, furniture and bedding brands at attractive prices until Jan 28.

There are cutting-edge and energy-efficient solutions in store.

The vast new store has products for everything from cooking and cleaning to entertainment and personal care.

Singapore and Malaysia Harvey Norman managing director Bernice Kwok said this was the company’s 39th branch in Malaysia and fifth in Penang.

“The store boasts 25,000sq ft of space, and we will soon be expanding it by another 6,000sq ft.

“We have built a state-of-the-art store, your one-stop destination to enhance and elevate your home and ensure that shopping for your home and technology is an easy, interesting and aspirational experience.

“We have our team of product specialists and next-gen Al experts who are extensively trained to answer questions and provide personalised advice based on your needs and requirements,” she said at the store launch on level 3.

“We are looking to open more stores throughout the country, at different sites and different states.

“Our expansion will continue when we find the right location with the next one being in Kulai, Johor,” she added.

Kwok said Harvey Norman stood out from the competition because of its 4-in-1 store model.

“We have electrical, computers, furniture and bedding all under one roof, as well as homeware.

“Whatever you want for your home, you can find it here, and for your technology needs too.

“I think what is different between our competition and us is that we are a global company.

“We are in eight countries, with our headquarters in Australia.

“We work closely with a lot of our vendors, bringing good, exclusive deals and products into our stores.

“If you look at the range that we have curated with this store, you can see top brands and branded quality products.

“To top it all off, everything is offered at competitive prices.

“We give you honest, no frills price guarantees.”

She said Harvey Norman offered a customer-centric environment with its “Shop with Confidence” promise which encompassed a price match guarantee, same-day delivery, 14-day exchange policy, up to 60 months 0% interest flexible payment plans, and a click and collect system.

“Harvey Norman is an omnichannel, meaning our online and in-store prices are the same, offering a seamless shopping experience.

“We know that the customer’s shopping journey has changed.

“When you want to buy something you research online first, which is why we place a lot of emphasis on our website.”

Kwok said Harvey Norman understood that customers would still want to touch and feel items before purchasing, and that is where the store comes in.

“Customer service is important as well,” she added.

Also present were Penang local government and town country planning executive councillor Jason H’ng, Harvey Norman Malaysia chief operating officer Jonathan Toh and lead general manager Eddy Ng.
