Smart televisions have been installed in all classrooms and special rooms at SK St Michael in Ipoh, Perak.
This was made possible through the RM63,815 raised under the Parent-Teacher Association’s (PTA) “Bacathon” programme.
The school’s headmistress Zuraiti Ibrahim said the initiative reflected the strong cooperation between the school, the association and the local community.
“The school managed to instal 37 smart TVs to support teaching and learning, upgrade the school resource centre (PSS) and repair and improve the sports store,” she said in a media statement.
The ceremony was launched by PTA president Nur Laila Mohamed Nazil.
Present were the association’s members, community representatives, teachers and students.
The ceremony also featured a demonstration by Year One pupils on how smart TVs enhance interactive and engaging learning experiences.
Nur Laila said the overwhelming support from parents and the community played a key role in the success of the “Bacathon” programme.
“The smart TV project, PSS upgrades, and sports store improvements are collective efforts that will directly benefit the pupils,” she added.
