Slow-fermented sourdough pizza comes to Ampang

Duck, Yeah! pizza by Double Zero Pizza.

A new pizza parlour that blends Scandinavian minimalism with the art of sourdough has opened in Ampang, Selangor.

The name “Double Zero” in Double Zero Pizza refers to the Italian “00” flour known for its purity and softness.

The interior of the restaurant features a muted colour palette with touches of blue and pink, soft wood finishes and clean lines, creating a calm and modern space.

The pizzas are made on an 11-inch sourdough base using flour slow-fermented for at least 72 hours, then baked in a wood-fired oven.

Many of the pizzas use a signature San Marzano tomato blend, while others have alternative bases like a creamy Mornay sauce or a spiced tomato blend.

Each pizza is topped with a blend of four cheeses and thoughtfully selected toppings.

The menu includes Classic Margherita (elevated with fresh mozzarella cherries), Truffle Kingdom (made with a black truffle base and a medley of mushrooms and baby spinach), No BS, B+S (topped with beef bacon and beef sausages), Duck, Yeah! (featuring rosemary and garlic duck confit with orange segments), Odin’s Lox (with beetroot-cured salmon with ricotta cheese and a Mornay base) and Seas the Day (topped with tiger prawns and white calamari).

In addition to pizzas, the menu offers sides such as Just Wing It cola-marinated chicken wings, mac and cheese and Caesar salad.

Available desserts include Apple and Mixed Berry Crumble, tiramisu and banana pudding.

Diners can have their meals with options from the “Zero Proof Wine List” of non-alcoholic drinks or natural fruit sodas, while kombucha is offered in rotating flavours such as Lychee Rose and Chrysanthemum.

Double Zero Pizza is located in Jalan Memanda 9, Taman Dato Ahmad Razali, Ampang.

It is open daily, from 11am to 10pm.
