Fireworks lit up the evening sky to the beat of the music during the much-anticipated ‘Heineken Moment’ at Resorts World Awana.
OVER 10,000 music fans gathered to celebrate diverse genres and cool drinks in Genting Highlands, Pahang.
Held at Resorts World Awana, Heineken’s “Refresh Your Music, Refresh Your Nights 2025” event was set against the backdrop of the chilly highland air.
The grand finale saw guests become “music buddies” through their shared love for music and Heineken.
The energy was palpable from the start, with rising duo Beautiful Mistakes kicking off the evening.
Their smooth performance quickly got the crowd swaying and immersed in the beats.
The excitement continued to build as Jovynn and AnnJo delivered a genre-blending set in their head-to-head DJ battle.
Each deejay showcased their unique style, effortlessly transitioning through pulsing techno, deep cuts and surprising drops that kept everyone moving.
Then came Blink as the event reached full swing.
A crowd-favourite known for mixing nostalgia with fresh sounds, Blink’s signature big-room style and varied playlist was a hit.
In an innovative twist, audiences were allowed to vote for the next genre drop in real-time.
The atmosphere shifted again as Hyo took to the stage, blending her K-pop background with bold, high-energy electro and electronic dance music.
Supported by a live choir and subtle nods to her Girls’ Generation roots, her captivating opening performance brought a wave of excitement and emotion through the crowd.
This set the stage for Grammy-winning DJ-producer Zedd who delivered a masterclass in high-energy performance.
His show featured cinematic builds, precise drops, and stunning visuals that captivated the audience from the very first beat.
“Heineken Refresh is more than just music – it’s about discovery and shared experience,” said Heineken Malaysia Bhd marketing manager (premium) Shaun Lim.
“It’s about stepping into the unexpected, whether that’s a new genre, a surprising venue or a connection with someone you’ve just met.”
He said the event marked the brewery’s third year of building a music platform associated with the Heineken brand.
“Each year, we’ve raised the bar in how fans experience music and connect with one another.
“From spontaneous pop-ups to this epic closing vibe, we’ve reimagined how music brings people together – especially when it’s shared with an ice-cold Heineken.
“With each ‘Refresh Your Music, Refresh Your Nights’ campaign, Heineken will continue to inspire music lovers to step out of the familiar, discover new sounds and spark new connections,” he added.
Earlier in the evening, the highland sky was lit up with fireworks that exploded in sync to music beats.
This anticipated “Heineken Moment” created a vibrant cascade of lights across the venue and added to a multi-sensory celebration.
