Leisure activities prove a priority despite the hot weather

The first-term school holidays is a great time for enjoying leisure activities.

Parents and children, especially those in the Klang Valley, were most eager to make the most of the short break.

Their spirits remained high despite the current hot spell coupled with the occasional downpour.

Many young children were spotted having a blast in the shallow public pools at Taman Tasik Titiwangsa and KLCC Park during the sunny weather.

Visitor numbers also rose at popular spots like the Kuala Lumpur Bird Park.

Even the occasional downpour did not stop children from playing in the fields with friends.

Some families took the opportunity to have picnics at recreational parks.

Others went camping at recreational areas in Hulu Langat and Rawang.
