About 300 diners received free meals at Anjung Section 7 food court as part of Shah Alam City Council’s (MBSA) ongoing Free Meal Programme.

Under the initiative, MBSA distributes RM10 meal coupons to food court patrons, which can be redeemed at participating food and beverage stalls.

The programme is a community outreach effort aimed at supporting residents while also helping local food vendors.

Beneficiaries included factory workers, civil servants, and tertiary education students.

Through the event, MBSA is also able to build ties with the local community.

In sponsoring meals for the needy, the city council also aligned its efforts with sustainable development goals seeking to end poverty and create sustainable cities and communities.

Present during the distribution were MBSA councillor Maizan Abdul Majid, who is MBSA Zone 3 Residents Representative Council (MPP) chairman, and MBSA Community Development director Shahrin Ahmad. ― By AYUNA SHAMELIN
