PENANG island has received significant rainfall in recent days – a timely development ahead of the upcoming and scheduled water supply interruption.

Penang Water Supply Corporation (PBAPP) chief executive officer Datuk K. Pathmanathan said the recent rains had helped raise water levels in the dams on the island.
