Spreading love to community with bubur lambuk and dates

By assisting those affected by the floods in Johor, inDrive reinforces its dedication to standing by the community in times of need.

GLOBAL mobility and urban services platform inDrive successfully concluded its “Roda Kasih” initiative this Ramadan, distributing over 10,000 portions of bubur lambuk and dates across Penang, Johor Baru and the Klang Valley, while supporting local small vendors.

More than just a meal, each bowl of bubur lambuk symbolised inDrive’s mission of fairness and inclusivity, a reflection of the belief that everyone deserves a seat at the table, especially during this sacred month of togetherness.

This initiative aimed to share the joy of breaking fast with everyone, ensuring the spirit of giving extended to all corners of the community.

To further its impact, inDrive sourced all bubur lambuk and dates from local small vendors, helping to boost their businesses during the festive period.

This approach not only ensured freshly prepared, authentic meals but also directly benefitted small-scale entrepreneurs.

The initiative touched lives across Ramadan bazaars, B40 housing areas and hospitals, offering more than just a warm meal.

It also provided a meaningful platform for the inDrive driver community to embrace the spirit of giving.

Their participation underscored their role as more than just drivers – as key contributors to the communities around them.

In Johor Baru, inDrive took an even more impactful approach by extending support to victims of the recent floods.

The company stepped in by distributing food and essential supplies at a temporary relief centre sheltering over 400 flood victims.

By assisting those affected, inDrive reinforced its dedication to standing by the community in times of need.

“The overwhelming response from the public and our drivers has been truly heartwarming,” said the company driver operations manager Azlan Anwar.

“Seeing our drivers actively participate in giving back to the community reflects the strong sense of togetherness that Ramadan inspires.

“As we continue to grow, we remain committed to fostering an inclusive and supportive environment for the drivers and the community.

“We hope to create more opportunities like this in the future, strengthening our connection with our Malaysian community.”
