Nutritious take on traditional dishes for underprivileged kids

A RESTAURANT chain hosted a buka puasa event in Johor Baru to bring together guests and children from Pertubuhan Kebajikan An-Nur for a meaningful Ramadan gathering.

Held at Taman Daya, the event featured Salad Atelier’s seasonal dishes, including Nasi Lemak Chicken Rendang Mokcik and Karipap Rendang Mokcik, offering a healthier twist on traditional flavours.

“We’re honoured to host such a meaningful evening for the children of Pertubuhan Kebajikan An-Nur,” said Salad Atelier founder Dylan Lee.

“This gathering allows us to connect and share our seasonal rendang dishes, reflecting the true spirit of Ramadan — togetherness and giving back to the community.”

Also present was Puteri Wangsa assemblyman Amira Aisya Abd Aziz.

She made time for the children in her busy schedule, visiting various flood relief centres in her constituency.

“It is heartwarming to see businesses giving back to the community, especially during Ramadan,” said Amira Aisya.

“This event not only provides the children with a nourishing meal but also reinforces the values of compassion, unity and support.

“I commend Salad Atelier for its commitment to healthy living and social responsibility.

“Together, we can help create a positive impact and provide a brighter future for these children.”
