IN THE spirit of giving and sharing, Tropicana Golf Country Resort (TGCR), together with Tropicana’s charity arm Tropicana Foundation hosted a charity outreach initiative for a group of 87 children from three orphanage homes.
Children from Persatuan Kebajikan Anak-Anak Yatim Siti Hajah Kamariah, Pusat Jagaan Yayasan Wardatul Jannah and Pusat Tahfiz Darus Syabab were treated to a buffet spread as well as duit raya and goodie bags.
The effort highlighted TGCR’s and Tropicana Foundation’s commitment to supporting underprivileged communities.
To top it off, main sponsor Fraser & Neave (F&N) stocked the fridges with refreshing beverages, keeping everyone hydrated.
Speaking at the event, Tropicana Corp Bhd chairman Tan Sri Mohamad Fuzi Harun said: “We are proud to be home to one of the largest Ramadan buffets in Petaling Jaya.
“Our buffet is made possible by the commitment and contributions from our TGCR team and chefs.
“And in continuing our mantra of redefining the art of caring, we were pleased to invite three homes to break their fast with us.

“For more than 10 years, we have invited underprivileged communities to join us and we will continue this joy of giving and sharing for years to come.”
The Selera Muhibbah buffet was preceded by a lively presentation of the dishes by the team of chefs and assistants, showcasing new specialties such as Gado-Gado, Som Tam, Nasi Lamuni, Ayam Golek Bermadu Bijan, Ikan Mayong Asam Pedas, Rendang Tok Kambing, beef green Curry (Thai Style), Pucuk Ubi Masak Lemak Ikan Tamban, Otak-Otak Ikan, Satar and Tapai Pulut Daun Getah.
The Selera Muhibbah buffet will run until March 29. It offers five rotating menus.
Consisting of traditional fare and international cuisine, there is a large variety of dishes with a selection of over 200 dishes served nightly and 25 live cooking stations located around the clubhouse.
The buffet is priced from RM80++ and for private events it is priced from RM98++.
From March 31 to April 28, the resort will roll out its Raya Bersama celebration buffet priced at RM98++ and onwards.
