Sibu Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCCI) sees this year as one full of challenges and opportunities.
Its communication director Ling Soon King said it would assist its members to tide over difficult times.
“SCCCI will continue assisting members in coping with market changes, embracing digital transformation and exploring diversified development directions.
“We will strengthen our ties with all sectors, provide members with broader resources and support and work together to promote the development and prosperity of Sibu’s business ecosystem,” said Ling at SCCCI’s Chinese New Year tea party.
In the past year, Ling said members had not only faced fluctuations and challenges of the market economy, but also witnessed the tenacity and innovation of members in their respective fields.
On the tea party, Ling who was the organising chairman, said it was a platform to facilitate communication between members, business colleagues and people from all walks of life to share experiences and discuss future development.
“Over the years, this event has not only become a place to connect with each other but also reflects the spirit of unity and mutual assistance.”
Present were PDP senior vice-president Datuk Seri Wong Soon Koh, SCCCI chairman Datuk Lau Cheng Kiong and Bukit Assek assemblyman Joseph Chieng.
