OVER 100,000 visitors are expected at Putrajaya Open Day (POD2025) this weekend, where approximately 450 government and private sector services will be available.
Running until tomorrow, the event serves as a one-stop centre, bringing together 13 ministries and 177 agencies to streamline access to essential services.
Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Federal Territories) Dr Zaliha Mustafa said the return-on-investment (ROI) this year was expected to double from the previous two years. “We anticipate an ROI of RM30mil, compared to the RM15mil from the two previous events.
“This is mainly because there is double the number of services and promotions being offered,” she said after launching POD2025 in Putrajaya yesterday.
The two-day event is organised by Putrajaya Corporation (PPj) with the support of the Federal Territories Department (JWP).
During her speech, Dr Zaliha said that public service must adapt to the evolving economy and growing public needs.
She stressed the need for a more responsive and innovative system to enhance service delivery, and called for an open, collaborative work culture to prevent practices that hinder efficiency.
“With political determination, I am confident we will move forward and implement the necessary initiatives,” she said.
Dr Zaliha added that POD2025 was part of the line-up of programmes held in conjunction with Federal Territories Day celebrations.
Some 60 programmes have been organised in the three territories of Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya and Labuan, she said. — By SHALINI RAVINDRAN
