Women entrepreneurs group to boost community efforts

MELAKA: The Malaysia Chinese Women Entrepreneur Association (MCWEA) is looking to expand its involvement in community programmes starting this Lunar New Year.

MCWEA Melaka Chapter President, Jean Ng said the association is also ready to support government stakeholders in leading initiatives to foster harmonious living among the state's diverse ethnic communities.

"The association is committed to working closely with various organisations to drive meaningful projects that benefit society," she said after making a courtesy visit to The Star Media Group's Melaka office on Jalan Hang Tuah here in conjunction with the Chinese New Year on Thursday (Jan 16).

She was accompanied by her vice-president Shirleen Hong and business development head Sharon Chen.

Ng also aims to strengthen community engagement and promote harmony at the grassroots level within the state.

"We believe in the power of collaboration to make a real impact by working together with government agencies, media partners, and community leaders," she said.

Ng also welcomed new members to join MCWEA and contribute to various projects aimed at empowering women entrepreneurs while strengthening social ties within the community.

"As an association, we encourage more women entrepreneurs to be part of our network where we can work on meaningful projects that not only support business growth but also build a more cohesive and inclusive society," she added.
