Group bounces idea of special basketball around S’wak

Special Olympics Sarawak hopes to start basketball programmes at its chapters statewide.

This follows a coaching session hosted by the committee and sponsored by Lions Clubs International Foundation.

Special Olympics Sarawak spokeswoman Chew Siok Cheng said 20 participants from Sabah and Sarawak completed the course, which was held at MyCentre Hall in Sibu.

She hoped that following the course, the trained coaches could help start Special Olympics basketball programmes in their respective chapters.

Special Olympics Sarawak vice-president Datuk Jason Tai presented certificates of completion to participants.
