Hydro Heroes volunteers from Air Selangor sprucing up Home of Peace Kuala Lumpur’s compound during their visit.
To spread festive cheer, Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd presented donations to charity homes under its “Sesama Mara” community investment initiative.
The water services provider donated necessities such as food, furniture and household essentials to Home of Peace Kuala Lumpur and Grace Home Klang in Selangor.
A team of Hydro Heroes volunteers comprising Air Selangor staff also helped clean the premises, spruce up the garden and put up festive decorations at Home of Peace Kuala Lumpur.
Residents were entertained with songs while a birthday party was held for the home’s December babies.
“This festive cheer programme under the ‘Sesama Mara’ initiative reflects Air Selangor’s commitment to supporting the underprivileged,” said corporate communications head Elina Baseri.
“By bringing joy and comfort to residents of these charity homes, we hope to inspire a spirit of togetherness and compassion among all.”
Through its Box of Hope programme, Air Selangor distributes essential food items to underprivileged communities.
A total of 6,775 Box of Hope packages have been distributed to B40 families around Selangor, Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya since the initiative was introduced in June 2020.
The public can contribute or make grocery purchases for the packages at five Box of Hope locations – Village Grocer stores in MyTown Shopping Centre Cheras and 1 Mont Kiara in Kuala Lumpur, Tamarind Square Cyberjaya, Central i-City Shah Alam and Melawati Mall Ampang in Selangor.
