Aviation show offers free shuttle service

THE highly anticipated fourth edition of the Selangor Aviation Show (SAS 2024) is scheduled to take flight from Sept 12 to 14 at the SkyPark Regional Aviation Centre (RAC) in Subang Jaya, Selangor.

Operating daily from 10am to 6pm, the event has already garnered impressive interest with more than 32,000 registrants.

SAS 2024 is open to the public from 1pm onwards on Friday, with full access available all day on Saturday starting from 10am.

This year’s show promises to be a spectacular showcase, featuring participation from over 35 countries and displaying 49 static aircraft of various types.

To ensure a smooth experience, visitors are advised to plan their travel to the venue ahead of time, as parking is not available on-site.

Instead, parking is provided at Stadium Shah Alam located in front of City Karting (Shah Alam International Go Kart Circuit).

Once parked, visitors should follow the signs to the designated Waiting Zone Area, where a dedicated shuttle bus service will transport them from Stadium Shah Alam to the SkyPark RAC guardhouse.

Shuttle buses will run every 15 minutes starting at 8am, with the final bus making its last return trip to Stadium Shah Alam at 7.30pm.

Upon arrival at the event, visitors will need to proceed to Registration B to scan their QR code provided on their confirmation email, collect an entrance wristband and undergo a standard security check.

Visitors should note that all bags and personal belongings will be inspected and items such as weapons and hazardous materials are strictly prohibited.

Parents or legal guardians bringing children five and below are required to sign a waiver form during the online registration.

For added convenience, visitors may use ehailing services from SAS2024’s official ehailing partner MyCar, which offers a special RM2 discount for trips to-and-from Stadium Shah Alam.

The same registration and security procedures will apply upon arrival.

Visitors are encouraged to dress appropriately, though casual wear is acceptable.

Closed-toe shoes are recommended for safety and remember to bring essentials such as water, handheld fan, cap, sunscreen and an ID or passport as a precautionary measure.

All visitors must comply with safety regulations and are subject to inspection by security personnel upon entering the secure areas of the event.
