PENANG MCA will hold its Annual General Meeting (AGM) at the Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology (TAR UMT) in Tanjung Bungah on Aug 31.

Its chairman Datuk Tan Teik Cheng said the meeting would address the recent political developments in Malaysia and discuss the party’s future political strategies in Penang.

He said party president Datuk Seri Dr Wee Ka Siong had been invited to officiate at the opening ceremony, adding that party deputy president Datuk Dr Mah Hang Soon, secretary-general Datuk Chong Sin Woon and a few central committee members would also be present in support of Penang MCA.

Tan said on July 20, the Penang MCA conducted a brainstorming session to explore strategies for the upcoming elections and other relevant issues.

Penang MCA secretary Yeoh Chin Kah urged party members to arrive at 10am for registration, adding that the AGM would start at 11am at Dewan Tan Sri Loh Boon Siew of TAR UMT.

“Members have to wear party attire or white shirt with dark trouser for the AGM.

“Penang MCA members have to show the unity and strength of the party, and work with the party’s central leaders on party affairs and the future direction of MCA,” he said.
