AFTER issuing a call for support, Zoo Negara has become the beneficiary of a generous donation of RM20,000 from social activist Tan Sri Lee Lam Thye.

The funds were from the sales of his biography Call Lee Lam Thye – Recalling a Lifetime of Service.

Lee, who is known for his philanthropic endeavours, expressed his commitment to supporting Zoo Negara, a non-governmental organisation (NGO) dedicated to wildlife conservation, education and recreation.

His contribution will go towards enhancing animal habitats and improving facilities while furthering conservation efforts.

“We are deeply grateful to Lee for his generous contribution,” said Zoo Negara Malaysia president Datuk Zaharin Md Arif.

“This contribution will play a pivotal role in the betterment of Zoo Negara.”

Zoo Negara relies on such contributions to continue its mission of wildlife conservation and public education, he said.
