TIME certainly flies. In the blink of an eye we’re approaching the second half of the year, but the music plays on.

After a long day or week at work, sometimes it’s nice to kick back and relax while getting into the groove of some great live vibes.

Klang Valley’s crop of talented musicians won’t let you down, with a sprinkling of something for almost every musical taste out there.

For 11 years, Merdekarya has been at the forefront of promoting the indie scene, playing host to household names as well as up-and-comers who can jam out with the best.

Tonight, the original folk rebel Azmyl Yunor will be in the house to present original songs ranging from the sublime to the satirical in his quest to kick out the jams.

Tomorrow night, things are set to get a bit mellow with David Lopez offering a great blend of original pop and R&B.

Next Thursday, singer-songwriter Ian Tai will be in the house to keep the rhythm going while grunge-folk rocker Fer Enough rounds out the musical list next Friday night.

No cover charge but a minimum tip of RM10 for the musicians is expected.

Tomorrow night, turn up the heat with a sizzling summer treat as the power trio of Rozz, Poovaa and Evie, and pay tribute to the songs of disco queen Donna Summer.

On Sunday, tune in to the Roaring ’20s with an afternoon of Lindy Hop that kicks off with a free taster session followed by the Frankie Sixes at 3pm.

Next Tuesday, Latin vibes rule the roost with Beza Cabeza showcasing bossa nova vibes while on June 1, get a little ska-happy with Chanelle Guerzo singing the songs of No Doubt.

Other highlights to look out for in the coming weeks include a night with blues legend Julian Mokhtar (of Blues Gang fame) and Mojo Hand on June 2, followed by a night of tropical jazz on June 6, with Kai Chalmers singing out strong.
