Mobile and digital services users in Sabah have an added 5G service provider to choose from, after U Mobile launched its first store in the state.

U Mobile chief marketing officer Navin Manian said the move showed the company’s commitment to expand in Sabah and Sarawak.

“U Mobile is excited to launch our first store in Sabah at Imago Mall, Kota Kinabalu,” he said at the opening of the outlet.

“The store is just part of our overall plan to expand our focus and footprint here so that more customers may enjoy the best of what U Mobile has to offer in terms of customer service as well as our innovative product range supported by Malaysia’s No 1 5G network.

“We are here to stay,” Navin added.

The full-service store provides customers with the complete range of U Mobile’s offerings and mobile digital experiences, such as an exclusive gaming corner for customers to test the power of U Mobile 5G.

Customers can also walk in to subscribe to any U Mobile plan, such as its U Borneo prepaid and postpaid plans, browse the latest 5G devices for bundling options, activate eSIM, port over while maintaining current number or change their rate plan.

The telco celebrated this milestone with rebates, free gifts and a three-day festival called “Cara U Sabah Fest”.

The festival showed the best of Sabah’s rich culture and talents, such as singer Stacy Anam who is U Mobile’s appointed ambassador for Sabah and Sarawak.

The Sabahan performer debuted a new song called Cara U.

Besides Stacy, the event also featured artistes like Andi Bernadee, Isobahtos, Estranged and K Clique.
