WITH Hari Raya Aidilfitri just around the corner, Aman Central is the place to be at when one’s in Alor Setar, Kedah.

There are many exciting activities and rewards for everyone under the mall’s “Salam Aidilfitri” festive programme that runs until April 21.

Be sure to explore the Arabic-style decorations at its Central Atrium, which feature a towering crescent moon arch, giant lightbox lanterns, semi-transparent panels and palm trees.

There is a Silaturahim TikTok Contest with prizes worth up to RM2,000 to be won. Simply record a clip with the decorations and upload with hashtags #ACContest, #ACRaya #SilaturahimAC and #fyp.

The 20 best videos will be selected as winners.

To participate, follow the mall’s account (@amancentraltiktok) and set your profile to public.

One can also just sit back and enjoy the series of “Sepanjang Zaman Aidilfitri” performances taking place at the same location.

The “Kompang Tari” sessions will be at 6pm tomorrow, 3pm on April 10 and April 19, and 5pm on April 12.

Meanwhile, “Tari Piring” will be at 6pm on April 11, and 3pm on April 13 and April 20.

“Salam Aidilfitri” dance performances are slated for 5pm today, April 10, April 11, April 13 and April 19, as well as 8pm on Sunday.

Catch “Cinta Sayang” routines at 6pm today, April 10, April 12 and April 14.

There will also be Malay folk performances at 5pm tomorrow, April 14 and April 20, 3pm on April 11 and April 12 and 6pm on April 13.

The mall’s assistant general manager (marketing communications) Ken Chin said the months of Ramadan and Syawal were good opportunities to create wonders in the mall.

“This is the perfect time of year to make new memories and enjoy wonderful moments with friends, family and loved ones.

“With plenty of festive shopping, buka puasa reunions, cultural performances and lively decorations that afford ample photo opportunities, it is an experience you will not want to miss,” Chin said at the programme’s launch.

In attendance were Kedah tourism, culture and entrepreneurship committee chairman Datuk Mohd Salleh Saidin, Belleview Group assistant general manager of leasing Brian Ho, as well as Aman Central operation manager Gan Poh Hin and assistant human resources manager Peng Hooi Chin.

They then did batik canting – using pen-like tools to apply hot wax and make outlines, before painting in the ink – to launch the occasion.

“I’m proud to announce that in early 2024, we managed to not only match pre-pandemic shopper counts, but even exceed it by 100,000. This underlines the mall’s substantial growth,” Chin added.

The festive decorations are surrounded by rows of Marrakesh-styled vendor booths offering a variety of trendy apparel, jewellery, accessories, make-up and festive treats.

It is also a good time to shop for Hari Raya essentials, as the mall has an Aidilfitri packets redemption ongoing.

Spend RM300 and above in a single receipt to redeem a set, while stocks last.

Meanwhile, the Eid Luxury Rewards allow those who purchase RM2,888 and above in a maximum of two same-day receipts to redeem a box of chocolate-covered dates.

Completing the activities is the Hari Raya Resin Coaster Workshop at 3pm today. Spend RM300 or more to book a seat. AC Junior Club+ members only need to spend RM50.
