TO commemorate the Islamic calendar months of Ramadan and Syawal, Bank Rakyat is holding a campaign with prizes exceeding RM750,000.
“This campaign is about sharing joy with our customers and communities across various initiatives planned throughout Ramadan and Syawal,” said deputy chief executive officer (business) Ahmad Shahril Mohd Shariff during the launch of the Ramadan Raya Tulus Ikhlas campaign.
Through this campaign, customers will be able to enjoy various gifts and special offers.
The main campaign, which runs until May 31, offers prizes such as Proton X90, Proton X70, Proton X50, five Modenas motorcycles and 120 other consolation prizes.
“The main campaign involves financing and Takaful products, Bank Rakyat’s Credit-i or Debit-i card and Savings-i or Current-i Tawarruq accounts,” he said.
To encourage small entrepreneurs to expand their businesses further, Bank Rakyat is also offering cash prizes totalling RM100,000 to 15 winners who subscribe to its micro financing-i products from now until May 31.
Customers who subscribe to vehicle financing-i products also stand to win prizes totalling RM80,000.
Special draws for the Rizq Plus Investment Account-i will also be held in conjunction with Aidilfitri, with a cash prize of RM100,000 for one winner and gold weighing 20g for five winners.
Customers who make the highest money transfers via DuitNow QR using the iRakyat mobile banking app and iRakyat website until May 31, also stand to win cash prizes totalling RM14,500.
Apart from that, 10 individuals who upload creative Hari Raya stories on social media until April 15 will have a chance to win Jakel vouchers worth RM2,000.
Bank Rakyat Credit-i cardholders also have the opportunity to get a 5% cashback for petrol, diesel and retail purchases at all petrol stations nationwide every Thursday until Dec 31.
Additionally, Credit-i cardholders who make a minimum transaction of RM500 for purchases at Jakel until April 30 will have the opportunity to win a cash prize of RM1,000 credited to their Rizq Plus Investment Account-i.
Bank Rakyat would also be organising the Riang Raya Bazaar Carnival, a cashless sale featuring 100 entrepreneurs at the Bank Rakyat Twin Towers for three days from April 1 to April 3.
Through this initiative, various community outreach activities will be implemented throughout the Ramadan and Aidilfitri period on media channels.
These include activities such as cooking and distributing bubur lambuk and breaking fast gatherings with media friends.
Bank Rakyat will also be donating RM1.48mil through its Imarah Ramadan programme, where 7,400 hardcore poor recipients will be receiving food baskets worth RM100 and RM100 in cash.
Additionally, Bank Rakyat will distribute RM70,000 in duit raya through its Cahaya Aidilfitri programme, with 700 orphans receiving RM100 each.
For this campaign, the bank has allocated over RM2.3mil.
The bank has also made festive clothing provisions for 73 orphans from Rumah Kasih Harmoni Paya Jaras, Selangor, and Rumah Bakti Nur Syaheera, Kuala Lumpur.
