MBSJ hosts festive do for Puchong folk

SUBANG Jaya City Council (MBSJ) hosted a Chinese New Year celebration earlier this month with a string of performances and community-oriented events in Puchong.

Highlights included a cheque presentation of RM500 each to three non-governmental organisations, namely Persatuan Kebajikan Rumah Victory Malaysia, Joy to the World Community Services and Intellectually Disabled Association Malaysia, as well as an ang pow presentation to senior citizens, children and families in B40 communities.

Subang Jaya mayor Datuk Mohd Fauzi Mohd Yatim, deputy mayor Mohd Zulkurnain Che Ali, MBSJ councillors and heads of department were on hand to welcome guests to the event at Taman Kinrara in Puchong.

Among them were Kinrara assemblyman Ng Sze Han, who is also Selangor investment, trade and mobility committee chairman, Puchong MP Yeo Bee Yin, Seri Serdang assemblyman Abbas Salimmi Che Adzmi@Azmi and Seri Kembangan assemblyman Wong Siew Ki.

Also distributed were food coupons valued at RM15 per book to 800 visitors to use at food trucks and stalls at the event.

Guests were entertained by a lion dance and various cultural performances.
