MEDIA personnel in Penang had a sneak peek of the culinary delights lined up for the fasting month during a pre-Ramadan get together.

At Timur Coffee House in Ascott Gurney Penang, they were treated to an array of Penang dishes that were given creative touches.

An example was Laksa Carbonara, a creative fusion of rich, coconut-based flavours of Penang Laksa with the creamy indulgence of carbonara sauce, served over al dente pasta.

Rendang Pizza and Penang Curry Spaghetti were also among the dishes served.

The highlight was Otak-Otak Quiche, which was a delightful marriage of Penang’s iconic otak-otak, a spiced fish custard, with the buttery goodness of a quiche that captivated the guests’ taste buds.
