IN conjunction with Chinese New Year, Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor) brought joy to residents of welfare homes.

Through its corporate social responsibility initiative “Sesama Mara”, Air Selangor held a celebration for senior citizens and children under the care of three welfare homes.

Air Selangor donated necessities such as food, daily clothes and household items besides providing plumbing assistance to three charity homes in Selangor and Kuala Lumpur, namely Rumah Orang Tua Seri Kembangan, Pertubuhan Rumah Kebajikan Kanak-Kanak Kaizen Selangor dan Kuala Lumpur and Persatuan Rumah Caring Kajang Selangor.

Air Selangor internal audit head Aris Fadzillah Zulkifli, finance and strategy head Kevin Lee Shih-Min and corporate communication head Elina Baseri were among the executives who visited Rumah Orang Tua Seri Kembangan.

A team of Hydro Heroes volunteers, consisting of 23 Air Selangor employees, decorated the charity homes with lanterns and other festive elements.

They joined the residents with tossing yee sang and gave out ang pow to enliven the celebration.

Air Selangor has distributed 4,975 Boxes of Hope, consisting of essential food items, to B40 families in Selangor and Kuala Lumpur since the “Sesama Mara” initiative was introduced in June 2020.

Box of Hope contributions can be made through purchases at five Village Grocer outlets.

These locations are Tamarind Square Cyberjaya, MyTown Shopping Centre Cheras, 1 Mont Kiara, Central i-City Shah Alam and Melawati Mall Ampang.

The digital version of the Box of Hope initiative allows the public to make digital contributions through www.airselangor.com/boxofhope
