MBSA brings festive cheer to old folks home


Elderly Love Living Care Centre residents and MBSA representatives at the home in Section U13, Shah Alam.

IN conjunction with Chinese New Year, Shah Alam City Council (MBSA) visited Elderly Love Living Care Centre in Section U3, Shah Alam.

MBSA deputy secretary (management) Asmah Mohd Zin handed over cash and hampers to 25 residents of the home.

The visit was aligned with United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly good health and well-being (SDG 3), sustainable cities and communities (SDG 11) and peace, justice and strong institutions (SDG 16).

In a press statement, MBSA said it would continue efforts to provide assistance to those in need, in line with its commitment to become a compassionate local authority.

Also present during the visit were Zone 17 residents’ representative council (MPP) chairman Ooi Haw Voon, Zone 22 MPP chairman Muhammad Shakir Ameer Mohideen, Zone 12 MPP chairman Lim Shu Chzen, MBSA community development director Shahrin Ahmad and the city council’s senior management team.
