From towering statues of fierce dragons to cutesy ones, they offer many opportunities for photos.
The best bet to capture a selfie or wefie with these splendid beasts include shopping malls and the city’s many temples.
Many of the business premises had set up the festive decorations as early as just after the New Year. Most of the places are also likely to have the decorations up into the second week of Chinese New Year.
If you’re lucky, you might even catch a dragon dance performance involving amazing acrobatics.
According to the Chinese zodiac, this is specifically the Year of the Wood Dragon, whose characteristics include having fiery ambition, big world changing ideas and charisma in spades.
The Wood Dragon’s creative and curious nature could also lead to new opportunities this Lunar New Year.
