Mineral water brand to draw eyes to state’s tourist attractions

MILLIONS of Cactus mineral water bottles will be adorned with Perak’s iconic tourist destinations as part of efforts to promote Visit Perak Year 2024.

Chuah Sin Sdn Bhd (CSSB) research and development director Dr Chuah Chaw Teo said seven million cartons of its 500ml and 1,500ml mineral water bottles would feature 11 tourist locations on the labels.

“The tourist spots include Kellie’s Castle, Gua Tempurung, Ipoh Railway Station, Istana Iskandariah, Leaning Tower of Teluk Intan, Pulau Giam and Royal Belum State Park.

“Also included are Tanjung Tualang Tin Dredge No.5, whitewater rafting in Gopeng, Taiping Zoo and Night Safari as well as Spritzer EcoPark,” he said after signing a memorandum of understanding with Tourism Perak Management Bhd chief executive officer Nurmalis Musa in Spritzer EcoPark, Taiping.

“We are excited to partner with Tourism Perak to revitalise the tourism industry,” Chuah added.

The MoU signing was witnessed by Perak tourism, industry, investment, and corridor development committee chairman Loh Sze Yee.

Loh said the strategic collaboration between CSSB and Tourism Perak would showcase tourist destinations effectively.

“We are proud that Cactus will exclusively feature 11 iconic tourist attractions in the state.

“This initiative aims to attract both domestic and international tourists to experience the diverse beauty and culture of Perak.”

Also present were Aulong assemblyman Teh Kok Lim, who is also state science, environment and green technology committee chairman, Pokok Assam assemblyman Ong Seng Guan and CSSB public relations head Winnie Chin.
