A CONDUCIVE learning environment allows students to thrive academically and socially.

With this in mind, Eco World Foundation donated 150 sets of desks and chairs worth RM25,000 to SK Bandar Rinching in Semenyih, Selangor, to replace its worn-out furniture.

At a simple handover ceremony at the school, Eco World Foundation chairman Tan Sri Lee Lam Thye said the right school furniture not only offered students comfort but also provided better support for their posture.

“Eco World Foundation was quick to respond to SK Bandar Rinching’s request for aid, as a conducive learning environment enables students to better concentrate on their studies,” he said.

He added that SK Bandar Rinching had experienced an increase in the number of pupils.

With new classes that opened, the school lacked the basic necessities required to operate. It resorted to borrowing furniture from other schools.

“We hope that the pupils will take good care of the new furniture so that more can enjoy using it for a long time,” said Lee.

“We believe that education is an investment for the country’s future.

“A good education can change a person’s life for the better.

“This is the main reason we are focused on helping schools that need aid,” he added.

Lee also encouraged more corporations to come forward and do their bit, especially in the area of education.

“Private sector contributions would greatly assist the Education Ministry in ensuring that our future generation has access to education and better learning facilities.

“Furthermore, volunteerism not only boosts morale within companies but also helps communities feel more connected to the world,” he said.
