REVENUE Valley Group celebrated World Food Day by distributing meals to multiple charitable organisations and orphanages across Kuala Lumpur and Selangor.

The group is the parent company of Tony Roma’s, The Manhattan Fish Market and NY Steak Shack franchises in Malaysia.

Revenue Valley Group distributed over 280 meals from its three brands to six children’s charity organisations over two days in the Klang Valley.

The gesture aligns with the company’s dedication to achieving the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goal of Zero Hunger by 2030, which recognises food as a fundamental human right.

The campaign, themed “Hidangan Kasih” saw underprivileged children enjoying the meals.

During their visit to two of the homes, Rumah Titian Kaseh and Rumah Hope, the group’s staff also engaged children in games and activities.

In addition, the group gifted boxes of essential items such as rice, cooking oil, milk and toiletries to the homes.

Rumah Perlindungan Nur Qaseh, Rumah Kebajikan Baitul Ehsan Al-Khairi, Rumah Kebajikan Anak Yatim & Asnaf An-Naafi and Rumah Bakti Nur Syaheera were the campaign’s four other recipients.

“World Food Day is an international day celebrated every year on Oct 16 to commemorate the founding of the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization in 1945,” said Revenue Valley Sdn Bhd group chief executive officer Daniel Chan Lek Seong.

“We are honoured to have celebrated World Food Day by sharing meals and essential supplies with underprivileged children. We believe that every child deserves to enjoy a warm meal, not just on World Food Day but every day,” he said.

By engaging and sharing with the children, Chan said the company believed in sowing the seeds for a brighter future as they would grow up well to thrive in their communities.

“We envision a world where no child goes to bed hungry, and our efforts on World Food Day are a testament to this vision.

“This initiative reflects our dedication to making a positive impact in the communities where we operate,” he said.
