‘Cap assessment hike at 30%’

Ratepayers in Kluang are urged to submit their objection about the assessment increase to Kluang Municipal Council by Nov 1.

THE assessment hike imposed by local councils should be capped at 30% to avoid burdening the people.

Mengkibol assemblyman Chew Chong Sin said many ratepayers could not accept the huge jump in assessment fees, where some saw hikes of up to 110% for residential properties in Kluang.
