Celebrate 66 years of independence at Jann as the bar is offering a Merdeka promotion called “Merdeka Magic at Jann” until Sept 16, 8pm onwards till late.
Priced at only RM66+ are two signature cocktails available from a wide selection or three alcoholic beverages including their house wine, Beefeater Gin and Tonic, Absolut Blue Vodka and soda, Jameson original highball and house tap beers.
The snack combo set is also priced at RM66+ and comes with shrimp popcorn with ranch dressing, spicy chicken wings and sweet potato fries.
One of Jann’s signatures is the Dear Jann cocktail which has been given a slight makeover with Olmeca Tequila, Absolut Blue Vodka, Lillet Blanc calamansi cordial and citric in place of its previous gin-based version.
Cocktails like Hawthorn – Chivas 12 Years, Hawthorn Shrub and watermelon – are served with haw flakes, a traditional favourite.

Nestled in the midst of Damansara Uptown, Petaling Jaya, the bar has a wide range of cocktails catering to all palates.
Named after a Mandarin word – xun – which means a little tipsy, the idea behind the bar is for visitors to have just enough drinks for the night.
The hidden bar serves mostly gin-based cocktails with creative combinations that are not too spirit-forward.
Some of the signatures include Whiskey Jam Sour cocktail which is a blend of Monkey Shoulder whiskey, strawberry jam, Angostura bitters and fresh lemon juice while the Seylove cocktail is a concoction of gin, lavender, egg white and lemon.
The Drunk Earl Grey featuring gin, Earl Grey, lemon and honey is a must-try for tea lovers.
The bar also has a room for large groups and its French-inspired dishes are something to look forward to.

Well-known for its craft burgers and crazy milkshakes, the bar at Black Tap Sunway Resort Hotel also serves a wide selection of craft beers on tap in addition to cocktails.
Craft beers include the light and refreshing White Ale Hitachino from Japan and the Brooklyn Lager, which has a smooth floral fragrance.
Others to check out are Brewdog Punk IPA from Scotland, Young Master 1842 Island IPA from Hong Kong and Tropical Via Heart of Darkness from Vietnam.
There are snacks such as fried mozzarella, buttermilk fried chicken tenders, salted egg yolk fries and the newly launched limited-time only Atomic Shrimps, which are deep-fried shrimps topped with Togarashi spice served on a bowl of dry coleslaw, Boston leaf lettuce, sesame seeds and scallions.
For cocktail enthusiasts, try the house signature Black Tap Mule which consists of vodka, fresh ginger, cucumber, lime and soda, or the more spirit-forward Pain Killer, which is a mix of rum, Malibu, Baileys, pineapple juice, orange juice and cinnamon.
Women also get to enjoy the Ladies Night offer of two free classic cocktails every Thursday from 6pm to 11pm while Black Tap guest deejays play the beats.
Cocktail options for Ladies’ Night include margarita, gin and tonic or cosmopolitan.
