NORWEGIAN Atlantic salmon is renowned for its unique taste and texture but beyond that, it is considered to be a rich source of healthy nutrients.

Its versatility in the culinary world is impressive and Genki Sushi shines a spotlight on the fish with its Norwegian Atlantic Salmon Feast promotion until Sept 17.

Among the innovative items featured is the Salmon Avocado Pesto Cheese where the fish is prepared with a delightful blend of creamy avocado, aromatic pesto and rich cheese.

Those on a low-carb diet do not have to compromise when ordering the Salmon Keto Maki which combines fresh salmon cuts with avocado and surimi, offering a burst of flavour with keto-friendly ingredients.

The Salmon Teriyaki Maki offers a mix of tastes and textures with grilled salmon slices, cucumber, Japanese rice, seaweed and sesame seeds.

When combined, the ingredients create a symphony of umami, nuttiness and smokiness on the palate while being comforting and refreshing.

The Spicy Salmon Gunkan is a must-have and a spicy twist to the traditional gunkan-style sushi (sushi roll wrapped in nori resembling a boat).

The Salmon Teriyaki is a classic where sweet and savoury teriyaki sauce complements the grilled salmon flavours.

The sauce, with its sweet undertones, goes perfectly with the salmon’s natural flavours.

True salmon lovers should also have the Salmon Mountain Sushi. It conveys a sense of indulgence with salmon slices stacked on fragrant Japanese rice.

Then there is the Salmon Sushi Xtra Long, which comes in at 18cm long, and the Trio Salmon Sushi featuring two with seared slices of salmon and one fresh.

The seared ones come with additional toppings of mentai and cheese.

To end the meal on a sweet note, it doesn’t get much better than the imported Yuzu Sorbet and Strawberry Ice Cream.

The Yuzu Sorbet offers a tangy freshness that cleanses the palate while the Strawberry Ice Cream delivers creamy and fruity flavours.

Both are must-haves and only available while the promotion lasts.

As a side note, those dining in at Genki Sushi will get to experience all their dishes speedily delivered by the restaurant’s Kousoku Train system – reminiscent of Japanese high-speed trains – as soon as the chefs have prepared their food.

During this promotional period, Genki Sushi is also offering 50% off its Salmon Sashimi originally priced at RM14.80 (until Aug 30), and Salmon Teriyaki Maki (from Aug 31 to Sept 17), originally priced at RM10.80.

In addition, the chain is having an extensive menu with over 200 core food items.

Among the delights is the Dai Man Zoku sushi, priced at RM4.80, and is approximately 1.5 times larger than its regular sushi, ensuring a more fulfilling dining experience.

The Norwegian Atlantic Salmon Feast promotion is available at Genki Sushi in Sunway Pyramid, Suria KLCC, Lot 10 Kuala Lumpur, Sunway Velocity Mall and The Gardens Mall in the Klang Valley until Sept 17.

Promotional menu items are priced from RM5.80 to RM19.80 per portion.
