Interactive exhibits spark wonder


The National Science Centre, spread over 8ha, was opened to inspire and encourage interest in science and technology.

THE National Science Centre (NSC) has been a source of delight for generations since it was officially opened in November 1996.

Spread over 8ha on a hill in Bukit Kiara, Kuala Lumpur, NSC’s main objective is to inspire and encourage an interest in science and technology through interactive exhibits.

On the first and second floors, there are indoor galleries including aquariums displaying marine life and freshwater fish besides Wonderspark where visitors can learn about natural elements like water, light and wind.

Children can spend hours at Kids’ Discovery for those aged four to six, while Kidz World’s exhibits are aimed at budding scientists aged seven to 12.

The outdoor exhibit area consists of themed attractions such as water plaza, herb and prehistoric gardens as well as an interactive zone.

NSC is open every day from 9am to 5pm, except Fridays.

Visitors can now buy their tickets online through www.eticketing.psn.gov.my

Entry is free for children below six years old, and RM3 for children aged seven to 12 years and senior citizens. Visitors aged 13 to 54 pay RM6.

The price of admission does not include entry to other exhibitions such as Dinosaur Encounter and Obskura XR.
