VISITING national parks in Sarawak is now made easier with six more parks added into the national parks’ visitors registration portal.

Sarawak Forestry Corporation (SFC) said in a media statement that six national parks had been added to its visitor self-registration portal and that registrations had been accepted since July 1.

The six additions are Kubah National Park, Matang Wildlife Centre, Gunung Gading National Park, Similajau National Park, Lambir Hills National Park and Niah National Park.

The portal presently lists a total of 10 national parks but does not accept any payment, which can only be done at the park entrance.

“These national parks offer a diverse range of attractions and activities that are sure to captivate and inspire visitors, whether they are avid nature enthusiasts, casual hikers or wildlife lovers.

“The portal provides greater convenience and accessibility for the public when planning their nature adventures,” the corporation stated.

To ensure a smooth and hassle-free experience, SFC advised all visitors to register at least one hour before their planned visit to the parks.

“By registering in advance, you will have the opportunity to choose an earlier time slot and avoid any potential inconvenience during the registration process.

“The addition of the six parks aims to streamline the registration process and provide visitors a seamless journey to these stunning natural wonders,” said SFC.

To access SFC’s visitors registration portal, visit selfregister.sarawakforestry.com or scan the QR code located at the entrance of the parks.

SFC also encouraged all visitors to familiarise themselves with the rules and regulations of each national park before embarking on their adventure.

“Respect for the environment, wildlife and fellow visitors is paramount to ensure an unforgettable and harmonious experience for all,” it said.
