KAJANG Municipal Council (MPKj) will begin repairing the road outside Pangsapuri Angsana in Bandar Mahkota Cheras following residents’ complaints.

Selangor tourism, environment, green technology and Orang Asli affairs committee chairman Hee Loy Sian said the repairs would start on Jalan Penggawa 2/2 next week.

“The road doesn’t need too much work, so we expect works to be completed in about a week’s time.

“Currently, there are about 500 families in the residential area using this road which is the only way to access the area,” he said.

Hee added that MPKj would spend RM20,000 for the work.

“We advise residents to cooperate by moving their cars from the road for the time being so our workers can proceed with the task as soon as possible.

“Tree branches in the area will also be trimmed to prevent further hindrance,” he said.

Pangsapuri Angsana residential committee chairman Teo Kok Seng was grateful for the council’s quick action.

“The road and drains outside the apartment have been a big issue for years.”

Teo said the drainage system outside the apartment was improved on June 26.
