Areas around Morib need to be spruced up to attract visitors

MORIB beach in Selangor has become a popular vacation destination and has been much transformed over the years as successive state governments have invested to upgrade it.

Morib now has many hotels and numerous tourist attractions that pull in large crowds on weekends and public holidays.

As such, it is difficult to find parking space. More parking space would be welcome.

A lot of retail outlets have also sprung up and a wide variety of events are held here.

However, the adjacent Morib Golf Course is in a forlorn state, in marked contrast to the extensively renovated Morib vacation spots.

The golf course looks unkempt with tall decaying trees along the main road. The trees looked like they could be uprooted by strong winds.

The perimeter fence has also collapsed.

The golf course needs to be spruced up to befit its image as one of the oldest golf courses in Selangor.

A new fence as well a row of bright flowering trees alongside the fence would create a better image for the golf course.

The district and municipal authorities need to be strict with landowners along the seaside who, by neglecting their land, have created eyesores along the Morib coastline.

The government is upgrading Morib into a top recreational venue, but this effort is made difficult by the adjacent landowners who neglect their unoccupied land.

Locals and foreign tourists would like to see a better and cleaner environment around Morib.
