This pet-friendly neighbourhood bar bears the surname of its founder and offers a wide range of beers and soju, among other drinks.

This month, visitors can also purchase any three bottles of Chum Churum Original or Chum Churum Peach soju and get six pieces of signature chicken wings free.

The bar is also famous for its Somaek tower, which is a mixture of soju and beer.

A sonic ageing method is used here to speed up the alcohol-ageing process and enhance its flavours.

Hidden at the back of Natalina Italian restaurant, Frank’s Bar takes its inspiration from American singer and actor Frank Sinatra.

Its interior exudes a Prohibition-era vibe with jazzy tunes by Sinatra to set the mood.

The bar’s cocktail menu features a refreshing twist on classic cocktails.

Its signature, Chocolate Factory, is a mix of Matusalem (a 15-year infused bourbon), vanilla wood, creme de cacao, Angostura bitters and chocolate bitters.

Another tipple to try is a creamy cocktail called Whipz a String, which blends Kentucky whiskey, peanut butter foam, Guinness stout reduction, mascarpone chestnut and creme de cacao. Or indulge in the Classic O’Laddie – a concoction of Islay whiskey, Bianco vermouth, passion fruit wine, malic acid solution and soda water, topped with a piece of rice paper.

With plants and greenery all over the bar and ceiling, Six by Saro is a Caribbean-themed lounge with tropical vibes.

It was previously known as Saro Lounge – owners of the lounge and Six Bangsar teamed up for this venture and renamed it.

Its signature cocktails are inspired by the Caribbean and this is evident from their names.

Several of the cocktails are served in a coconut shell. The must-try cocktails include By The Whey and Pishang Colada.

Expect a variety of cocktails that use whisky, gin, vodka and rum as the base.

The thread shop-themed design takes its inspiration from an old sewing machine with a patchwork couch that doubles as Instagram-ideal photo spot.

There are two bars: a cocktail bar and another serving beers and other alcoholic drinks.

Some of the signature drinks include Ben’s Paloma, which is a mix of Patron Reposado tequila, grapefruit, lime and sparkling water, as well as Mango Brulé which has Plantation 3 Stars rum, fresh mango, lime and aquafaba. Cocktail honouring a legendary star

“The Michelle” was created over a private tasting session with Yeoh, whose preference for a clean, fresh taste influenced this cocktail.

Juniper Gin, vodka, Cinzano Bianco and Angostura Bitters, finished with a lemon twist, flavour this drink.

Known for its modern-day glamour with old-world elegance, Astor Bar has a brass-trimmed panelled entrance with bespoke hammered-brass door knobs that reveals an inviting bar area set against horse-hair wall panels, rich leather, brass accents and luxurious black-and-gold marble.

With its breathtaking gold-domed ceiling, Astor Bar was one of the sets for the blockbuster Crazy Rich Asians, which also starred Yeoh.

The bar also features a cigar lounge as well as M Room, Malaysia’s first and only experiential whisky bar.

Kapitan Haus is launching a special drinks menu with some classic but fresh and innovative flavours in collaboration with the historically rich cognac house, Martell.

Traditionally drunk neat, on ice or with tea, Martell has a special place in Chinese culture as most often, it is the spirit of choice for any celebrations.

Chinese traditions are being revisited by blending the cognac in cocktails, bringing a perfect marriage of the spirit and Chinese-inspired flavours.

Some of the new cocktails include the La Vie En Roselle which is a heavenly concoction of Martell NCF, roselle, mint, lime and spices, while the Iced Martell Lemon Tea is a mix of Martell Noblige, black tea syrup and lemon juice.

If you’re feeling adventurous, try the spirit-forward Chicken Rice cocktail that comes in a mix of chicken fat-washed Martell Noblige, pandan-and-ginger- infused tuak and dark sauce syrup.

Order a serving of three Martells, namely, Martell VSOP, Martell Noblige and Martell Gordon Bleu, and take your senses through a journey of different tastes and flavour profiles.
