AS PART of its corporate social responsibility, Da Ma Cai, through its Staff-in-the-Community programme, visited Persatuan Insan Istimewa Cheras Selangor (PIICS) and brightened up the day for residents.

At the start of the visit, Da Ma Cai staff volunteers were welcomed by a large group of residents.

Their faces immediately lit up when they were treated to entertaining magic shows and games.

They were also served a meal followed by cake as part of the birthday celebrations for two residents.

Two medical rollators were also presented to PIICS, together with some groceries and diapers.

“These medical rollators will come in handy, as some residents are not able to stand up on their own.

“They are especially useful for residents who can walk but need a little help with their balance.

“It makes the task of showering and helping them move around much easier for our staff,” said PIICS assistant secretary Kelvin Goh.

A Da Ma Cai spokesperson said many people take mobility for granted.

“But some disabled individuals do not have this privilege.

“So, it is heartwarming that we are able to assist PIICS by enhancing their residents’ mobility.

“We encourage the public to join us in providing the less fortunate with the gift of mobility and helping to give them as much freedom in their daily lives as possible,” added the spokesperson.

It aims to create a safe and nurturing environment so that they can achieve their full potential and live fulfilling lives.

Currently, PIICS is caring for 43 individuals, aged between seven and 49.

It relies mainly on public funds to sustain its operations.

Da Ma Cai actively supports various causes in the areas of education and social welfare through a wide range of programmes and activities carried out in the country annually.
