Shah Alam council gives voucher codes to encourage cashless shopping at bazaar

TO ENCOURAGE cashless transactions, Shah Alam City Council (MBSA) collaborated with Malayan Banking Berhad (Maybank) to distribute voucher codes to be used at the Rahmah Ramadan Bazaar in Section 19, Shah Alam.

Vouchers with a special promotion code worth RM10 each were distributed to 1,000 lucky visitors of the bazaar.

The promotion code can be used to buy food through the Maybank2u app.

Shah Alam mayor Dr Nor Fuad Abdul Hamid and Malayan Banking Berhad Selangor and Negri Sembilan digital assistant vice-president Rosdee D. Baba distributed the voucher codes to the visitors.

In a statement, MBSA Corporate and Public Relations Division head Shahrin Ahmad said, “The Rahmah Ramadan Bazaar is an initiative by MBSA to support the Federal Government’s efforts to reduce the burden of the cost of living in a more consistent, effective and targeted manner.

“The Section 19 bazaar has 100 traders. For this year, MBSA issued 1,270 permits to traders selling food and drinks at 25 Ramadan bazaar locations under the city council’s purview.”

MBSA also gave away 600 packs of bubur lambuk to visitors at the same time.
