UOA Group held a “Sambutan Aidilfitri” in Kerinchi, Kuala Lumpur, to spread cheer to the underprivileged ahead of the Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration.

The event was also part of the property investment and development company’s annual corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives.

Some 260 grocery hampers and duit raya were distributed to single parents and the differently abled in the presence of Lembah Pantai MP Fahmi Fadzil.

Each hamper had cooking oil, rice, flour, sugar, biscuits, canned food and other necessities.

UOA Development Bhd chief human resources officer Haikal Akmar said, “We are happy to welcome our guests and their families.

“This is a time for gratitude, blessings and forgiveness, and their presence is meaningful to us.

“We hope that the hampers and duit raya will help alleviate the burden faced by the less fortunate during these challenging times.

“The enthusiasm and positivity shown by the recipients motivate us to continue our efforts.

“We aim to keep improving society and the environment, thus making a difference to the communities in need,” said Haikal.

The event was organised with the support of ADRF Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur and Selangor Africa Asia Destitute Relief Friendship Association), a non-profit organisation that helps underprivileged children to better their lives through education.
