Scent-sational afternoon tea, perfume to invigorate the senses

Diners at WXYZ Bar’s special afternoon tea on March 4 can learn to make perfume.

TO COMMEMORATE its 10th anniversary next month, Aloft Kuala Lumpur Sentral is launching a perfume and guests will have a chance to make and take home an Aloft-inspired perfume.

In collaboration with homegrown holistic lifestyle brand Penny Essentials, Aloft Kuala Lumpur Sentral is holding a special afternoon tea and natural perfume workshop called “Scents & Scones” at WXYZ Bar as part of its anniversary celebrations.

The collaboration sees the creation of an exclusive scent, Sassy Summer, made from essential oils for an alcohol-free spritz.

Sassy Summer provides a zesty blend of citrus and lemon myrtle over a soothing cedarwood base.

Guests will experience an invigorating afternoon making their own bottles of Sassy Summer to take home.

Aloft’s Sassy Summer perfume retails at RM168 nett (50ml), and is available from March 4 while stocks last.

Founder of Penny Essentials Penny Choong will lead the session and share about the importance of emotional wellness and a healthy lifestyle.

After the scent-sational class, participants will enjoy Aloft’s Chinese New Year edition of the Awesome Afternoon Tea, with highlights such as Kaffir Lime-infused Crab Meat Pie Tee, Roast Duck Mantou, Golden Raisin and Goji Berry Scones, Salted Egg Shrimp Sandwich topped with Fish Roe, Sweet Potato Nian Gao and Lunar Cup Cakes.

Scents & Scones is priced at RM168 nett per person and is available only on March 4.

Guests will also receive Penny Essential’s signature essential oil-infused chocolate and a welcome drink.

Guests may add on a glass of sparkling wine at RM48 per glass.

Aloft’s Chinese New Year Afternoon Tea is available every weekend from 2pm to 5pm at WXYZ Bar until March 26 at RM148nett per set.

Each set feeds up to two adults.
