THE Brahma Kumaris Malaysia (BKM) Foundation kicked off its 40th year anniversary celebrations with an event in Johor Baru.

Present were about 70 professionals, leaders, and representatives of non-government organisations and charitable institutions.

The guest of honour was Sultanah Rogayah Foundation chairman Datuk Sugumaran Raman, who is also the personal officer to the Sultan of Johor.

The event began with a welcome address by BKM Johor president Jothi Rajah followed by a special address by Sugumaran.

A forum, featuring four speakers from the Johor Women’s League, Befrienders, Laughter Yoga and the Catholic Church was the highlight of the gathering.

The forum concluded with all guests keying in their contributions to the society through an app, which was then flashed on the big screen.

Guests were also treated to performances by BK Shulakshini, BK Disha and a team from Rawang. — By REMAR NORDIN
