Mall and radio station launch merry celebration

PARADIGM Mall Johor Baru, one of the malls under WCT Malls Management Sdn Bhd, has unveiled its “Have a Great Chinese New Year (CNY)’’ programme in collaboration with 988 Chinese radio station.

Paradigm Mall Johor Baru assistant general manager Crystal Soon said the celebration which runs until Feb 5 includes 988’s Q-Zai rabbit mascot, a meet and greet session with 988 DJs, stage performances, acrobatic lion dance, CNY festive booths, bazaar and limited-edition red packets.

“Redemption will also be available with the purchase of the premium abalone deal.

“The festive decorations will be unique to each WCT mall.

“For example, Paradigm Mall Johor Baru will have a gifting spot with a huge 6m-high wishing tree for the public to place their wishlist,” Soon said in her speech during the launch at the mall.The programme was launched by Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Minister Datuk Seri Salahuddin Ayub’s political secretary Suhaizan Kayat.

Soon said this CNY is special for the mall and its visitors as the objective is to celebrate togetherness after the challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic.She added that the company’s partnership with 988 was a fresh and creative way to support the local entertainment industry by showcasing talents and this helped provide a sense of belonging for the local community.

“CNY marks the beginning of a prosperous springtime, bringing with it new ambitions and positive energy.

“To brighten up the festive season and to provide more for our loyal shoppers, we have also launched our weekly lucky draw for those who spend at our mall.

“Shoppers will have the opportunity to win cash prizes of RM888 every week,” she said.

Meanwhile, Suhaizan in his speech said that the programme had provided the public a chance to buy festive goods at an affordable price from small and medium enterprises.

“I hope in the coming Year of the Rabbit, we can continue to unite our people and improve our economy. This will help our country to grow and prosper,” he said.
