The initiative by the Institute of Public Relations Malaysia Student Association (IPRMSA) raised RM600 thanks to sponsors and collaborators such as BSG Group, Shangri-La Golden Sands, The Habitat Penang Hill, Kloth Malaysia, Shan Poornam Group of Companies, Succulent Shop, Ada Biotech, Consumers’ Association of Penang, Aimpactz Social Enterprise and Redo Smart Enterprise.

IPRMSA president Vergil Sio Nire Jer, in his speech, said they wanted students of SMK Abdullah Munshi to be exposed to the benefits of nature.“A green and natural environment leads to a healthy mind and body.

“Let us provide an opportunity for all to learn about the environment,” he said.

IPRMSA teacher advisor Azrel Zairul Izma Zamri said GGWP was also part of Kempen Sekolah Hijau 2022.

IPRMSA was established in collaboration with Institute of Public Relations Malaysia and serves as a platform for students to gain public relations skills through programmes and interactions with professionals.

The event saw booths set up to sell food, beverages and succulent plants. There was also a thrift shop.

A workshop allowed TAR UMT students to bring along three clothing items to be swapped with another three clothing items for a fee of RM5.

Also present were representatives of the various sponsors.
