Carlsberg calls on football fans to show support for their favourite teams by joining World Cup match-day gatherings on Dec 9, 10 and 18 at Pavilion Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur.
Much excitement flowed at the first viewing party at Piazza Pavilion Bukit Jalil for the Germany vs Japan match on Nov 23.
Football enthusiast A. Ashwin, 23, said it was exhilarating to watch the World Cup matches on big screens with other fans.
“I admire Fernando Torres of Spain although I am a die-hard Brazil fan,” said Ashwin at the gathering which lasted from 6pm to midnight.
“It is an indefinable feeling when so many football fans can gather in one place to cheer every goal.
“I also played some games and won jerseys.
“I definitely want to join in the fun here again.”
Carlsberg will be hosting over 300 celebrations on match days at bars, pubs and restaurants across the nation.
There will be games to keep fans in a great mood such as the “Cheers to the Fans” station which tests vocal prowess, “Cheers to the Managers” where fans can demonstrate game-play strategies, “Cheers to the Wingers” for the ultimate selfie, and “Cheers to the Commenta-tors” that tests football knowledge.
