ENJOY exciting interactive experiences in Unifi TV's Extraordinary Tour happening at Gurney Plaza in Penang this weekend (Dec 2 to 4).

There are activities and showcases from many leading content providers and streaming apps available on Unifi TV - including Disney+ Hotstar, Warner TV and Boomerang, BBC, Lionsgate Play, beIN SPORTS, iQIYI, WeTV and more.

"As we continue to enable today's digital lifestyles, this tour is an opportunity to personally interact with local communities and tap into how we can curate new innovative solutions to suit their needs.

"Together with content partners, we are pleased to connect with customers in the northern region - where we hope to provide our offerings for fixed broadband, mobile services and entertainment content to more Malaysians," said Anand Vijayan, Unifi's executive vice president and TM's chief commercial officer.

Unifi TV is the digital content and entertainment arm of Telekom Malaysia's (TM) converged Unifi business.

During the launch on Friday (Dec 2), locals in Penang witnessed the unveiling of Unifi's #BoxOfHappiness at the event site here, simultaneously with Klang Valley folk in Taman Tasik Permaisuri, Berjaya Times Square, Setia City Mall and Avenue K.

Tantalising passersby since Nov 30, all five boxes opened to reveal the full-fledged suite of content available on Unifi TV.

There are meet and greet opportunities with celebrities like Masdo, Talitha, Shawn Lee, as well as Nazim Othman and Ruhainies - the stars of iQIYI's 'Sorry Naik Lorry' programme.

Unifi customers also stand a chance to receive unique merchandise when participating in activities at content partners' booths or during stage appearances.

Unifi chief marketing officer Shanti Jusnita Johari said the tour also celebrates them reaching the three million subscribers milestone, reflecting its ongoing commitment to accelerate digital inclusivity and support the country's Jendela aspirations.

"We are committed to ensure Malaysians are digital-firstband enabled," Shanti added.

Briefing the crowd about promotions, Unifi TV head Ho Hock Doong said that from now until Jan 1, 2023, customers can enjoy free viewings of all 72 Unifi TV channels, discounts up to 50% for pay-per-view movies and free trials of streaming apps.

Existing Unifi customers can also subscribe to Unifi TV's Ultimate Pack, which includes five streaming apps and all 72 premium channels for just RM60.

Unifi will also offer free 5G data for all unlimited Unifi Mobile plans, bringing affordable 5G services to more Malaysians, coupled with 24-hour broadband service restoration or RM50 rebate guarantee.

Anand later concluded - "In the coming year, we will continue to boost our digital services, growing our content base to include more premium local and international channels and partners.

"We will also strengthen our fixed-mobile converged solutions and serve as a one-stop partner for all connectivity and lifestyle needs, reinforcing our commitment to enable a digital Malaysia."

Also present for the event was Unifi consumer head Armizy Abdullah Shukri.
