SELANGOR Barisan Nasional assemblyman will remain as the Opposition for now despite the formation of the unity government between the Barisan and Pakatan Harapan coalitions at the Federal level.

Selangor state assembly Speaker Ng Suee Lim said he has not received any request or instruction from the Federal Government on the matter.

"There is no development so far so everything remains as status quo for now.

"I will leave it to the Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari who will adopt an inclusive approach to ensure that the unity government in Putrajaya is stable.

"But I am sure there will be a decision from the federal government soon," he told reporters during a break from the State Assembly at the Bangunan Dewan Negeri Selangor, Seksyen 5, Shah Alam.
