Musical returns to KL stage on Oct 23

Tales of Four Dialects – The Musical returns to the stage for the first time in five years.

It aims to give new meaning to several Hakka, Hokkien, Cantonese and Teochew folk songs.

It is touted as a rich, inspiring and thought-provoking musical with four stories about ancestors.

The core concept of the musical revolves around “home, roots and resilience”.

It is based on the premise that no matter how different the world has become or how societies have evolved, traditional cultures can never be forgotten.

The project is staged by a talented team of artistes under the direction of producer, scriptwriter and director Ho Lin Huay and music director Yuan Leow Yunn.

The musicians and singers include Alana Sim, Wen Suen, Liow Jun Yi, Jazz Bai Lin, Nam Jun Yeong, Amy Wang, Melissa Ong and Wong Chin Chia.

The musical is presented by ABS Group, produced by Asia Musical Productions and co-organised by Linsa.

It is supported by Tourism, Arts and Culture Ministry as well as the Malaysian Chinese Cultural Society.

It will be staged on Oct 23 at 3pm in Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre (klpac) Sentul, at Pentas 1.

Tickets are priced at RM388, RM298, RM238, RM188, RM148 and RM88, with a special offer of four tickets for the price of three.

The multi-dialect performance includes English and Chinese subtitles.
