A BREAST cancer awareness charity run is receiving support from MagnumCares.
The company is one of the sponsors for “MH-Bifröst Run 2022: Run Against Breast Cancer” on Oct 29.
The 5km night run is organised by Universiti Malaya and held in conjunction with Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Magnum Group chief commercial officer Datuk Chan Chee Fai said the run was helping to raise funds for B40 women’s diagnostic tests as well as the University of Malaya Medical Centre’s (UMMC) Breast Cancer Resource Centre.
The charity run’s ambassador Datin Paduka Chew Mei Fun, who is former deputy Women, Family and Community Development minister, thanked MagnumCares for supporting the event.
“If breast cancer is detected and treated early, the chances of survival are high but a diagnostic test costs about RM3,000 which B40 women cannot afford,” she said.
The run will flag off from UM Arena Stadium at 8pm.
